Have two things; LP Music returns to the Dakota in Mpls. on Thursday March 17th with the usual suspects: myself, Paul Peterson,Peter Schimke and Petar Janjic. Ricky Peterson will also be sitting in. Hope to see you there.
More importantly, I'd like to express how saddened I was to learn of the unexpected and tragic death of saxophonist Brian Gallagher. Brian, among other things, played with Prince for several years. Perhaps I'm lucky that I was there first, cause if it had been the other way around, there might never have been a reason for me to have the gig ! (Brian could PLAY). I didn't know him well, but his playing spoke for itself and he was a really nice person. He also was a co-founder of the group Greazy Meal. I want to express my heartfelt condolences to his family and all the musicians who worked with him closely. He will be missed.
